SUSTAINABILITY & PERMACULTURE

Principles at the heart of Valle Escondido...

The hope of Valle Escondido, whether guests come to the farm, hotel, café or preserve is that they leave with a positive experience that could potentially influence a stronger connection to nature and sustainable practices. Valle Escondido believes that fundamentally people enjoy nature, supporting that connection is part of our mission.  We believe that people, if given the opportunity, will work towards sustainable practices and preservation of natural environments.

Permaculture is a design system, a sustainable natural resource management methodology that looks at ways to catch, store and use energies in a property and then return those resources back to the natural environment in an enriched state.

A main goal of permaculture is to recharge the earth and provide a surplus both for human use and for nature.

Valle Escondido offers permaculture tours so you can learn about how to become more sustainable.. Click below to find out more!

The ethics of permaculture are:

Do good to the earth, do good to people, and give back to both.
